Fiona Ellis

Director of Education, pfeg

Fiona joined pfeg in 2013 as the Director of Education, where she oversees the quality of the initial teacher training, continuing professional development, services and resources that pfeg provides for schools. With a background in personal financial education and economic citizenship, Fiona is passionate about creating a brighter future for children and young people – helping them make the right decisions about their lives and playing an active part in the world around them.

Fiona has been with pfeg since 2006 in a range of roles: running high profile, national curriculum development programmes across the 4-19 age range, training and advising teachers, and writing classroom resources. Prior to that, she supported the introduction of Citizenship as a new national curriculum subject in England in 2002.

Fiona is currently studying for an M.A. in Creative Writing for Children at Winchester University and has a particular interest in the role of stories and literacy in financial education.
